Demon X V7 D3O Men's Impact Padded Top
The X V7 is a close-fitting long-sleeve shirt worn beneath your sports clothing. It has six removable protective pads: one at the back, one at the chest, one at each shoulder and one at each elbow. Soft foam padding below the collarbones on the upper chest and along the ribs stays in the shirt. Chest and elbow straps let you adjust the fit.

Which pad sits where?
Back, along the spine. One removable back protector (D3O BP4).
Chest, over the breastbone. One removable chest protector (D3O CP1 Compact).
Shoulders. Two removable shoulder pads, one at each shoulder (D3O T6).
Elbows. Two removable elbow pads, one at each elbow (D3O T6).
Upper chest, below the collarbones. Additional soft foam padding (Plush), sewn into the shirt.
Ribs. Sewn-in foam padding along both sides. It stays in the shirt.
The six pads sit in separate pockets in the shirt. You can take them out through the pocket openings for cleaning, then put them back. The soft foam padding below the collarbones and along the ribs is sewn in and stays in the shirt. An extra layer of comfort foam (O2 foam) sits behind the shoulder and elbow pads.
The shirt uses stretch Lycra and mesh fabric. A side zip helps with dressing. Adjust the chest and elbow straps so the shirt sits close while you can still breathe and move freely.
The men's cut is intended for wearing beneath your sports clothing. Try the top with your jacket or cycling jersey. This reveals whether sleeves, a collar or other clothing layers pull on the pads.
Choose a size, then check the fit
Measure over your planned base layer
Measure your chest with the tape level over the base layer you ride in. Compare the measurement with the men's top chart in the instructions. The sizes for this model are listed below.
Close the zip and adjust the straps
Set the chest and elbow straps comfortably. The shirt should sit close while allowing normal breathing and arm movement. Tightening the straps as far as possible cannot correct the wrong garment size.
Check the pads as you move
Bend and straighten your arms, squat down and bring your hands forwards as if holding handlebars or ski poles. Check that the shoulder pads stay at your shoulders and the elbow pads at your elbows. The chest and back protectors should also stay in place, without the sleeves twisting.
Check with your outer layer on
Put your jacket or jersey on and repeat the movements. If the back protector rides up, padding shifts or you feel pressure points, adjust the fit or compare another size. Our team can help you work through the options.

The EAN/GTIN-13 format adds one leading zero to the UPC. Both numbers identify the same version. Always include the size when asking about a product.
Use X-Connect with a compatible lower garment
The X-Connect attachment sits at the lower back. It links the top to suitably equipped Demon X-Series lower garments from V4 through V7. Both pieces need the matching, undamaged fastening surfaces.
You can also wear the top and lower garment separately. When connecting them, adjust each piece first, then check the whole outfit. The connection should not pull as you bend.
Clean, dry and refit the components
Carefully remove the back protector, chest protector, two shoulder pads and two elbow pads through their pocket openings. Do not pull hard, twist or sharply crease them. Leave the sewn-in upper chest and rib padding in the shirt.
Wipe the removed pads with a damp cloth only, without soap or cleaning products. Do not wash, soak or spin these parts.
Hand wash the shirt in cold water with mild detergent, leaving the sewn-in padding in place. Do not use fabric softener or bleach, and do not wring it. Machine washing and tumble drying are unsuitable.
Air dry every part completely at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heaters. Put each dry pad back into its own pocket in the correct orientation. Use the top with all six pads in place.
Store the completely dry top in a ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep heavy items off the inserts and avoid sharp folds.
Intended use and checks before riding
The top is intended for cycling and snow sports, including skiing and snowboarding. Do not use it for motorsports. Its padding is intended to cushion light impacts and reduce superficial injuries; the garment cannot provide complete protection against injury or serious accidents.
Before each use, inspect the inserts, seams, zip and straps. Replace a damaged product; do not continue using it. A fall or impact can cause damage that is not visible: check the top and replace it if in doubt. Follow the replacement guidance in the instructions and ask the manufacturer if you are unsure before further use.

The X V7 has six removable D3O protectors, including a chest protector. It also has soft, sewn-in padding at the upper chest and ribs. The Zero PLUS has five removable RZ-LABS pads at the back, shoulders and elbows, each with a D3O RF foam layer. Its soft chest, collarbone and rib padding stays fixed in the shirt. Questions about fit, components and buying
Will X-Connect fit every pair of Demon pants?
You need a compatible X-Series lower garment with the matching attachment. The same brand or a similar model name alone does not establish a match. Check both fastening surfaces and try the combination on.
Can I use the top without the chest or back protector?
Keep all six protective pads fitted when using the top for sport. Take them out for cleaning, then put them back correctly in their own pockets. The sewn-in upper chest and rib padding stays in the shirt.
What if I fall between two sizes?
Start with your chest measurement and the instructions, then consider the layers you will wear underneath and over the top. Shoulder position, sleeve length and freedom of movement also matter. Send us your measurements if you are unsure, rather than relying only on your usual T-shirt size.
Do these part numbers include extra accessories?
These part numbers identify the top in each listed size. Extra accessories, such as the separate Ghost Rib Protector, are not included in those part numbers. Confirm which products you want when enquiring or ordering.
